PBIS: REWIND STARTING OVER THE WOLVERINE WAY Presenters: Darius Freeman, Robin Harrelson, Kristen Tilson, and Kelandra Williams
LEARNING OBJECTIVES/ LEARNING TARGETS: ■ Participants will gain a true definition of PBIS and how they can relate it to their school and not the current team members aspirations. ■ Participants will gain a knowledge of how to rebrand their PBIS program and have faculty buy-in to endure time. ■ Participants will gain an understanding of how to use current resources available to the school to aid in the rebranding. ■ Participants will understand how to use outside resources to help shape the resiliency of a defunct team. ■ Participants will build a skeletal structure of the basic fundamental PBIS expectations to take back and further develop.
WOLVERINE WAY WARM UP! Scenario: It is a new school year. Not just any year, but a year that begins with a soft PBIS rollout. A coach is named, staff is in place, and matrices are being written. At the end of the year, after all of the training, all of the writing and plans are in place for a full and complete roll out, a shift in personnel occurs. You are now left with just the Coach, Team Leader, and Recorder, who are the only members of the original PBIS team that remain. WHAT DO YOU DO?
