Spatial • Description of physical properties and their specific functions or symbolical representations • Starts in a common part and develops through a certain pattern – Point of entry – How somebody would move through this – Origin of vital sources – Functions of such resources
Topical • Divides topic into standard categories reflecting one’s approach of the topic • Examples: – Comparison – Discussing different types of something • Each subdivision should be discussed and related to the general topic
Deductive • • General to specific Starts with a general description Specific discussion: elements or illustrations Examples – Schizophrenia • • General definition Common chraacteristics Specific types Discuss a certain person with schizophrenia

Climactic • Presentation of weak points to strongest points • DISADVANTAGE: might loose the interest of the audience – Advisable Pattern: • STRONG • WEAK • STRONG – Increment Presentation
Anticlimactic • Reverse of climactic: strong to weak • Usually used in – Immediate response to a previous speaker • Not often used – When convincing an audience – Don’t want to lose the interest of the audience or make the impact of the whole speech become weak
