Paths Using Paths to have text follow a alternative shape
Line Paths Adding text on to a custom shape
1. Tool Selection • Create a new layer • Select the pen tool (either the normal pen of freeform) • On the bar at the top, select the “Paths” option
2. Draw the Path • Follow the line you wish to achieve, or create your own, depending on your aim • On mine I have followed the mountain top (this allows you to replicate the exact shape of the line) • I have missed the trees out as the sudden change in angle would cause the letters to overlap
3. (Optional) Reposition • In my case, I needed to move my text up, into the area that is the sky
4. Add Text • Select the text tool • Hover your path, click only once the cursor gets the curved line through it as shown • Type your text
