Introduction In the world, Covid-19 is currently being studied in different scenarios and one of them is reinfection after illness or recovery after discharge from patients, and that is because the virus is relatively new in every sense. So, you do not have the security of knowing how it evolves in its entirety. Thus, situations arose that alerted some patients, including false negatives and hasty discharge that ended in fatal events, due to the lack of a post-Covid follow-up that allows patients to know if they have a relapse without needing to go to the hospital recurrently and expose yourself to a new contagion.

Statement of the problem Cause • False negatives to covid -19 and hasty recovery causing premature deaths Proposed solution • There is a risk of contamination when using existing devices • There is no protocol that makes it easier for people at high risk to avoid going to hospitals to avoid infection or reinfection. This research it focuses in a product development process of a spirometer for patients who may have been discharged from the treatment and thus decongest the hospital centers.

Proposal • According to the inventors, the idea of this original patent arises when one of the inventors sitting on the edge of a water sources begins to receive the jet of water due to a change in the speed of the wind, where he perceives the use of this effect to the measurement of the speed and direction of the air through the path and point of arrival of the water droplets. • During the exhibition of this invention in the contest organized by Indecopi, through conversations and opinions of the visitors, the idea of an application arises in measuring the speed of the expired air, in a spirometer. Thus, it changes from a flow with three degrees of freedom, to a flow of two degrees of freedom, obtaining the idea for the second patent.

Results Concept definition stage • The UPC patent "expired air flow spirometer" consists of a square section prismatic structure. At one of the ends a nozzle is adapted to expire the air that actuates a valve, dropping a drop of colorful liquid, which when driven by the expired air assumes its speed and when falling longitudinally defines a distance depending on this. Feasibility stage of the concept • A micro valve sensitive to expired air goes to the top of the spirometer, the same one that would have two constructive alternatives: a) it consists of an axial plate to the air flow that when incised by this opens the passage of the fluid, letting a drop of the colored liquid, b) activated by the Bernoulli principle, which due to pressure differences would drop the fluid drop, such phenomenon has already been used in fuel carburetors to regulate the appropriate air / fuel mixture in internal combustion engines.

Conclusions • The prototype will be low cost and will meet the parameters to perform a correct examination of the patient. • There will be a connection to an App connected to an internet server, where the doctor can access the results. • That the transition from conceptual design to detailed design, prototype and simulation thereof.
