Prošlo vreme u engleskom jeziku • • • Kao i sadašnjih, u engleskom jeziku ima ukupno četiri prošla vremena, a to su: ‣Past Simple (Prošlo prosto vreme) ‣Past Continuous (Prošlo trajno vreme) ‣Past Perfect (Davno prošlo vreme) ‣Past Perfect Continuous (Davno prošlo trajno vreme)

Kratak podsetnik. . . • Past Simple Tense se gradikada se na pravilne glagole

Kratak podsetnik. . . • Past Simple Tense se gradikada se na pravilne glagole dodaje nastavak –ED dok se za nepravilne glagole koristi oblik iz druge kolone nepravilnih glagola. • U upitnom obliku, koristi se pomoćni glagol DID za sva lica i glavni glagol u infinitivu. • U negativnom obliku koristi se pomoćni glagol DIDN’T (did not) i glavni glagol u infinitivu.

• Past Simple koristi se za: ‣ radnju koja je završena u određenom trenutku u prošlosti: He left Paris in 1999. Napustio je Pariz 1999. godine. ‣ prošle navike/rutine: They played tennis every Friday. Igrali su tenis svakog petka. ‣ prošle radnje u nizu: He got up, put on his coat and left. Ustao je, obukao kaput i otišao.

• Past Continuous Tense se gradi od pomoćnog glagola TO BE (WAS/WERE) u prostom prošlom vremenu i glavnog glagola sa nastavkom – ING. • Upitni oblik se gradi inverzijom oblika TO BE (WAS/WERE) i subjekta rečenice. • U odričnom obliku dodaje se NOT na pomoćni glagol TO BE (WAS/WERE).

• Past Continuous koristi se da: ‣ opiše privremenu radnju koja je bila u toku u određenom trenutku u prošlosti: At 10 last night she was doing her homework. Sinoć u 10 je radila domaći. ‣ opiše prekinutu radnju-u kombinaciji sa Past Simple: She fell asleep while she was studying. Zaspala je dok je učila. ‣ opiše dve ili više paralelnih prošlih radnji: He was watching TV while Jane was cooking. On je gledao TV dok je Džejn kuvala.

A typical signal word is while. • while (In this part of the sentence we usually use Past Continuous. ) While we were watching TV, Andy was surfing the internet. • when (In this part of the sentence we usually use Simple Past. The Past Continuous is used in the other part of the sentence. ) The ladies were talking when the accident happened.
