WHY DO THIS AGFD is charged with managing wildlife population of Arizona, and we can not meet our charge without private landowners and lessees. AGFD can not manage wildlife without help from other agencies (federal, state, county, etc) Build credibility and Trust through mutually beneficial projects (working side by side) Recognize the contributions of agricultural producers make for wildlife populations

PURPOSE OF THIS INITIATIVE Implement on the Ground habitat/ rangeland restoration through coordination of

PURPOSE OF THIS INITIATIVE Implement on the Ground habitat/ rangeland restoration through coordination of financial and administrative resources from multiple partners. Create a long term beneficial impact on the land. Promote and highlight the efficacy of diverse partnerships. Build A foundation of trust for future landscape level initiatives.

THE PROPOSAL Use Landowner Relations Program (LRP) staff to coordinate with landowners and lessees

THE PROPOSAL Use Landowner Relations Program (LRP) staff to coordinate with landowners and lessees to develop mutually beneficial projects Participation is voluntary, landowners have final say Mutually beneficial projects for landowners, agencies and wildlife LRP staff will assist landowner/lessee with project development and planning, applications for funding, administrative process as requested, and project implementation Focus effort in 3 focus areas

THE PROPOSAL LRP will coordinate all partners to fit projects into available incentive programs

THE PROPOSAL LRP will coordinate all partners to fit projects into available incentive programs AZDA – assistance with grant applications for LCCGP NRCDs and potentially help with Strategic Plans USFWS – Bringing Landowners to Partners Program NRCS – Assistance with Ranch Conservation Plans, Regional Conservation Partnership Program, applications for standard financial assistance programs NGOs, USFW, BLM, etc – coordination and assitance as requested
