Aerodrome Certification – ICAO Annex 14 § As part of the certification process, States shall ensure that an aerodrome manual which will include all pertinent information on the aerodrome site, facilities, services, equipment, operating procedures, organization and management including a safety management system, is submitted by the applicant for approval/acceptance prior to granting the aerodrome certificate. 07 October 2020 Aerodrome Certification Workshop 2

Aerodrome Certification § An aerodrome certification can only be granted, providing that the CAA are satisfied of the following: § Staff has the necessary competence and experience § The aerodrome manual has been submitted and contains all the relevant information § The aerodrome facilities are all in accordance with the standards and recommended practices specified by the state § The standards operation procedures (SOP’s) make satisfactory provision for the safety of aircraft operations § An acceptable safety management system is in place 07 October 2020 Aerodrome Certification Workshop 3
