5. 1 Measuring tools, Pway inspection kit & its demonstration

• A high precision gauge cum level with easy to read dial type cant device and built in spirit level. Accurate to 1 mm. Made of extruded steel tubing. Useful for inspection and research work. Folding type also available.

(2) INSULATED TRACK GAUGE CUM LEVEL: MODEL ST-2

• A very versatile and accurate tool for track maintenance. • Made of robust extruded steel tubing. • Has a built in sensitive spirit level. • Determines gauge variation, cant and cross level • Folding type also available [ST-2(F)]

3) INSULATED TRACK GAUGE CUM LEVEL: MODEL ST-3

• A rugged tool for track maintenance & laying gangs. • Made of robust extruded steel tubing. • Requires optional spirit level (Model SL-2). • Determines gauge variation, cant and cross level.

4) INSULATED TRACK GAUGE CUM LEVEL: MODEL ST-1

• Made of extruded steel tubing. • With built in Spirit Level. • Determines gauge variation and checks cross level difference. • Super elevation measurement requires optional cant board. • Folding type also available [ST-1(F)].

6) CUSTOM BUILT TRACK GAUGE CUM LEVELS

Custom Built Gauges • To meet the requirement of worldwide clients, PIE provides customized solutions to suit the rail standards of different countries. Gauges for the following track gauges are readily available: • 1000 mm/1676 mm/1673 mm/1432 mm/1435 mm/. Other track gauges can be made on order. • Gauges used in track laying to maintain center line of curved track as per the designed alignment. • Gauges with modified rail seating for use with raised check rails and conductor rails. • Gauges with simultaneous measurement of check rail gauge and flange way clearances along with the usual running gauge and cant measurements. • Gauges with readings in inches also available. • Gauges with fixed gauge for track layers. (Model ST-0) • Digital track gauges

(b)Spirit Levels (I) SENSITIVE SPIRIT LEVEL SL-2 • Made of high tensile alloy aluminum tubing. • Has double housing to withstand falls. • Provided with arrangement for subsequent adjustment. • Accurate to 0. 70 mm / meter. (II) GRADIENT SPIRIT LEVEL MODEL SL-G • This is a gradient spirit level with magnetic attachment and is used to provide the 1 in 20 (5%) inclination of rails. Useful for track layers. • Digital version also available
