Wine Deceives Proverbs 20: 1 “Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise. ” If Jesus gave fermented wine to people at the wedding of Cana, it means he was deceiving and mocking people!

The Lord’s anger is pictured as mixed wine poured out and drunk by the wicked Psalm 75: 8 “For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them. ” The wicked is compared to the wine.
Keep distance from drunkards says the Apostle Paul 1 Corinthians 5: 11 “But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat. ”
