What is PRT? “Parks, Recreation, and Tourism undergraduate and graduate programs prepare students in a wide array of fields concerned with social, environmental, and economic aspects of society. ”

What is AOP/ORS? • AOP/ORS (Outdoor Recreation Studies) is focused on leadership skills and outdoor learning styles. • These students will be river rafting guides, hiking guides, NOLS instructors etc.

What this major entails Certain outcomes will be expected as you graduate from this major. In this major, you will take classes that include leadership, management, financial management, outdoor skills/classes, and a lot more!

Why pick AOP? This emphasis area is one of the most engaging and focuses on experiential learning. A lot of your classes may be outside, and you will get to interact with what you are learning.

What is on campus? • Outdoor Adventures (job) • Climbing • Hiking • Biking • Rafting • SNOW!

U-Explore As an AOP student, you are required to take a certain number of credit hours from U-Explore Classes. These are outdoor classes, usually over a weekend in the semester. You can choose from land, snow, and water classes. They are very fun and you can make new friends along the way!
