I work for parks Victoria and I am a people ranger at tidal river camp grounds 2. What do you do? Patrol campgrounds; enforce regulations; interact with and inform the public; maintain environment, campgrounds and walking tracks 3. How did you get your job? I got this job when I applied and attended an interview, after completing my degree in environmental management 4. What did you do before you got your job? The hard part about my job is dealing with obnoxious guest who want to go climbing through all the vegetation and really are just very disrespectful of the area. 7. Yes, many, any hazard that you could imagine being associated with the outdoors; slips, trips, bumps, falls and all the rest 16. in five years’ time? Do what you want to do and don’t let other people decide for you Would you change anything about your job? I live in the park for a couple of months a year but it gets a bit much sometimes being so far away from everyone, I wouldn’t mind working at a park a bit closer to a town
