THREE LEARNING MODELS Full Opening: Minimal/No Spread of the Virus § All students attend school unless parents choose to keep their child home § Students learning from home must virtually attend all classes each day § Classes will be live streamed to all homebound students and they will have the same learning expectations as in person students and will have an opportunity to ask questions and receive feedback § Safety procedures and protocols will be in place to safeguard staff and students § Buses will operate up to full capacity, face coverings/masks will be worn by all, staggered loading/unloading of students, and buses will be cleaned and disinfected before and after each bus run § Face coverings/masks required for all students and staff while in the building § Cohorting or grouping of students where possible, restrictions on congregating, staggered entry/dismissal and one side hallway transit will be required § Maximize spacing of seating to greatest extent possible § Sports, clubs and activities will operate with masks and social distancing § Identification/Isolation protocols of sick students/staff will be utilized § Increased cleaning and sanitization protocols will occur regularly

THREE LEARNING MODELS Hybrid Model: Moderate Spread of the Virus Resulting in Reduced Student Days in School § Students not attending in-school instruction will engage in distance learning § Buses will operate at reduced capacity, face coverings/masks worn by all, staggered loading/unloading of students, and buses will be cleaned and disinfected before and after each bus run § Grades 7 -9 -10 will report to school on Mondays and Thursdays and grades 8 -11 -12 will engage in distance learning from home on those days § Likewise, Grades 8 -11 -12 will report to school on Tuesdays and Fridays while Grades 7 -9 -10 will engage in distance learning from home on those days § Face coverings/masks required on all students and staff while in the building § Identification/Isolation of sick students/staff § Restrictions on congregating, staggered entry/dismissal and hallway transit § Maximize spacing of seating to the greatest extent possible § All students will engage in independent distance learning on Wednesdays and will have opportunities for individualized instruction and/or interventions § Sports, clubs and activities could be suspended or operate with increased restrictions

THREE LEARNING MODELS CONTINUED Full Distance Learning: School cancelled due to high spread of the virus § § Synchronous distance learning for all students will take place as follows: Periods A-B-C-D will meet virtually on Mondays and Thursdays Periods E-F-G and Advisory will meet virtually on Tuesdays and Fridays. All students will engage in independent distance learning on Wednesdays and will have opportunities for individualized instruction and/or interventions as needed **PLEASE NOTE: Unlike last spring, teachers will livestream lessons to students to allow for interactive instruction, time for Q&A, and student feedback. For attendance purposes, students will be required to be “present” at scheduled class times and will be expected to engage and participate.

SCHOOL OPERATIONS All rooms have been evaluated for maximum seating distance at 6 feet

SCHOOL OPERATIONS All rooms have been evaluated for maximum seating distance at 6 feet where possible Alternate locations such as the gym, cafeteria, library, auditorium, and outside may be utilized for extra instructional space The first four days of school will be for staff safety and procedural training and students will return to school on Monday, August 31 Bathrooms will be assigned to specific grade levels and will be limited to a maximum number of occupants based on social distancing Students will have individual seating in the cafeteria; tables are removed Students will traverse the building on the right side of hallways and stairs and will follow traffic patterns to maintain social distancing No lockers will be used, book bags will be permitted, and teachers will use online text and resources as is available to minimize book bag weight Mask breaks will be incorporated throughout the day and will also be at the teachers’ discretion Students refusing to wear masks will be sent home immediately Students are encouraged to have multiple masks on hand at home The school will have extra masks for any person in the building who does not have a mask or whose mask breaks or becomes ineffective

SCHOOL OPERATIONS Greater emphasis will be placed on social-emotional awareness – students will be screened for their current emotional status and will have access to counselors and/or groups supports Students will also be assessed academically using NWEA-Measures of Academic Progress to determine and address any learning gaps Dismissal time will be altered +/- a few minutes to reduce the number of students in the hallways while exiting the building Hand washing and use of hand sanitizer will be available throughout the school day Increased surface cleaning will take place throughout the day Cleaning supplies will be available in each classroom All ventilation systems operating at full capacity throughout the day Safety training for students will be implemented at the beginning of the school year and reviewed on a regular basis Parish Hill will use the school website and Blackboard Connect messages dispatched via phone, text, and email to share pertinent information
