PARENTS’ ASSOCIATION Executive Committee 2017 – 2018 Nominees

President Yvette Bannon • Married to Sean and they have three children, all at ZIS – Jaydin age 15, Kade age 12, and Keegan age 6. They moved to Switzerland in January 2014 from Pennsylvania and reside in Oberrieden. • Has a B. S. in Accounting and Finance, an MBA in Finance, and is a certified Lean / Six Sigma Black Belt. Worked at Air Products and Chemicals before moving to Switzerland. • She was at one time a ballerina and also served 6 years in the U. S. Army National Guard. • Served on the PA as VP Marketing and Communications for SY 2015 -2016. Happy to continue serving the PA for next school year.

VP Marketing & Communications Petra Scheir • Married to Ives Decraene and has 2 children, Ilias Decraene age 16 is at ZIS • • and Andres Decraene age 12 is at the local school in Küsnacht. They moved in the Summer of 2015 to Switzerland from Belgium and live in Küsnacht. Graduated in Ghent as a Pharmaceutical and Biological lab technologist, and worked for 15 years in the Universal Hospital in Ghent. Now she works for the company of her husband helps out with the administration and daily matters. Likes to travel, read, and meeting people. Currently the Country representative for Belgium and happy to continue this role for next school year 2017 -2018.

VP Events Jenny Wismer • Moved to Zürich with her family in July 2015 from Boston, USA where she was heavily involved in planning/organizing events in the neighborhood elementary school and preschool. She and her husband, Jon, have 3 children. Owen is in Grade 3, Felix is in First grade and Elsa is in Preschool. • Before living in Boston, Jenny and Jon lived in Munich, Germany for almost seven years where Jenny worked as a cross-cultural consultant for German clients and served in several positions on the board of the International Women’s Club. Prior to that, she put her business degree to use as a mutual fund valuator and a financial analyst. • Jenny enjoys traveling, skiing, hiking, photography, reading and cooking.

VP Events Katy Cool • Moved to Zurich (Thalwil) in 2015 from Charlotte, North Carolina with husband Chad and three children Grace (grade 5) Jack (grade 1) and Will (ECC). • Graduated with an Early Childhood degree from GC&SU • Currently a room parent for Grade 5, Grade 1, and ECC and volunteers at the Den Jr. • Enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.

VP Welcome & Community Aminta Paiva • Is Sri Lankan but moved to Switzerland from London in the summer of 2015. They have two girls at ZIS, the eldest Neriah is in Grade 2 and Ines is currently at the ECC in Kilchberg. • Studied at the Sri Lanka Law College and the University of Cambridge where she met her husband. Before moving to Switzerland, worked as a corporate and maritime attorney for over 10 years. • Actively worked with various PA teams at each of the schools her children attended. Is also a qualified speech and drama teacher and enjoys acting and playing tennis.

VP Welcome & Community Sophie Klose • Is French/ American and married to her German husband, Markus. They moved to Zurich in 2012 after having worked and lived in London for 10 years. They now live in Kilchberg. The family joined the ZIS community two years ago. Beatrice, their eldest, is in Grade 2 and Alexander is in 1 st grade. • Before having children Sophie specialized in the Hotel Industry, receiving a Hotel Management Diploma from Glion Institute of Higher Education in Montreux, Switzerland. She worked for various luxury hotels in NYC, London, Madrid and Brussels and specialized in Sales and Marketing. Her last position was Sales Manager at the Dorchester hotel in London, where she was responsible for European corporate relationships. • She enjoys running, skiing and tennis. Her hobbies also include extensive reading and painting.

Treasurer Maxine Kane • Currently a Grade 3 ZIS parent, moved to Switzerland 3 years ago. • Chartered Accountant with 20 years experience in audit and accounting. • Served as Treasurer for a charity prior to moving here. • Have been a room parent for 2 years and an area rep for 1 year at ZIS.

Secretary Sue Fitlin • Married to Ira and has 2 girls at ZIS (Nikki in Grade 10 and Victoria in Grade • • • 5). Moved to Switzerland last year from the US and resides in Oberrieden. Has a BA in Liberal Arts and a Masters Degree in Marketing. Prior to children, worked in Public Relations and Special Events. Served in various position on the Executive Committee in her children's last school district for 8 years. Likes to travel and to spend time with friends and family. Currently the Grade 10 representative and a Grade 5 room parent.

ECC Campus Coordinator Zeenat Pillay • Zeenat turned her back on an illustrious global fashion career to take up the • • world's most rewarding job - that of being a mum and traveling the globe. She is a 5 th Generation South African of Indian origin who understands the value and importance of diversity, culture and continuous learning. She played an integral role in the schooling of her daughters when they left South Africa to settle in Istanbul for four years. She and her husband enjoy travel and exposing their two young daughters to as much of the world as possible. Moved to Switzerland June of 2015 and is currently a Room Parent at ECC.

ECC Campus Coordinator Ruth Kelly • Moved to Zürich in June 2016 from Dublin, Ireland. Currently living in Ruschlikon with my husband Alan and two children Eloise (4) who is in Pre School (ECC) and Evan (2) who will be starting at the ECC in 2018. • Attended the University of Limerick, graduated with a degree in Languages - French & Spanish. Also attended Dublin Business School and graduated with a degree in Marketing, Communications & Event Management. • Over 14 years of experience in Marketing & Communications roles across a number of industries. • Hobbies; I love to travel, exercise and spending time with my family. .

Lower School Campus Coordinator Ritu Monga • Born in Delhi, grew up in India and then teenage years in the USA. High • • school and university in the US. Double degree in Economics and German Literature. She lived in India, USA, England, Wales, Germany and now Switzerland. Moved to Zurich in July 2013 from London where they lived for 10 years and where both sons were born. Two boys at ZIS, Ishaan in grade 3 and Arhaan in Kindergarten. Husband Nikhil works for ABB. Worked in Management positions in various firms such as Microsoft and EBay. Had her own company in the UK selling high end nursery supplies. Interests include photography, traveling, reading, and flying. Served as the Lower School Coordinator for SY 2015 -16. Happy to continue serving on PA for the next school year.

Lower School Campus Coordinator Liz O’Shea • New to ZIS in 2016, from the USA. • Graduated from Drexel University. • Professional Background in Pharmaceutical Sales and Marketing. • Volunteered throughout the year as Homeroom Parent, chaperoned class trips, and volunteered in the classroom weekly, and PA events. • We will have children in Kindergarten and First Grade next year a the Lower School. • Looking forward to bringing our community and administrators together for another successful year!

Lower School Campus Coordinator Polly Lagana • Moved to Switzerland from New York City in August 2016 with her husband, Jim, and three sons, ages 9, 6, and 3. • Worked at Young Women's Leadership Network, a nonprofit organization focused on school reform and college access, for the past 12 years creating schools for low-income girls and developing partnerships with community organizations and corporations. • Received a BA in communications from Boston College and a Masters in Public Administration from Columbia University.

Middle School Campus Coordinator Natasha Bartel • Moved to Thalwil in July 2013 for her husbands’ job. They have 3 children: • • Sonia in grade 7, Celia in grade 5, and Eli in Kindergarten. Graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a BBA in Human Resources and Management. Prior to "retiring" 12 years ago, I worked as a Data Network Consultant for a telecommunications company. Originally from Wisconsin but have lived in Virginia, Texas, and Tennessee. This is their first Expat assignment. She loves to be outdoors and hobbies include running, hiking, biking, swimming, walking, and skiing, Before serving as MSK Campus Coordinator for the current year, I have served as grade level parent representative and numerous room parent positions.

Middle School Campus Coordinator Hila Kramer • Is 43 years old, and was born and raised in Israel. • She moved to Zürich 16 years ago. Before coming here she spent two years with her husband in NYC. • She has three children, Liv 7 grade, Neri 5 grade and Sunny Pre K. All attend ZIS. • Before becoming a mother she studied early childhood education in Israel and has a teacher degree. • Currently, she is finalizing a yoga teaching certificate.

Upper School Campus Coordinator Jenny Scheck • From the UK and married to Martin, half British, half Swiss, hence surname and Swiss connection. • Came to Switzerland in 1990 for my job and his. Worked for one of the big 4 as a chartered accountant in London and Zurich for 20 years. Requalified as teacher of English as a foreign language and am now teaching and offering business English support. • ZIS parent since 2002 and has 2 children, Isabel (graduated from ZIS in 2016) and Alex (grade 8). Have always been involved at school and have been room mother, UK welcome rep (3 times), Worldfest treasurer, Graduation Committee member, Ghana dinner and teacher appreciation lunch organiser and Careers Forum moderator 3)times. Upper School Campus Coordinator Leslie Losch • Canadian citizen and have lived in US prior to moving to Switzerland. • Mother of 3 boys - student class of 2015, 2017 and 2019. • Part of ZIS community for 7 years and have engaged with staff at all three campuses. • Volunteer as Grade 10, 11 and 12 th grade parent rep. • Volunteer experience includes Worldfest, staff appreciation lunch, career forum, graduation reception and prom. • ZIS Canadian family rep since 2012
