Absence – a note from home or doctor’s office is required upon returning to school. Students must be fever free (less than 100 without medicine) for 24 hours before returning to school.

Parents will document the title of the book read at home. • Students will earn in class rewards for reading at home. • Periodically, we will ask your child to work with you to complete an assignment to enhance our leanring. Please check your teacher’s newsletter/emails for these assignments. • Please email your child’s teacher for ideas and tips on how to keep your child learning at home.

To opt in to these messages, parents must log in to the Skyward Family Access Center and add a Text Message Number to their Skylert communication options. To access this option, first click on the “Skylert” menu option inside the Family Access Center. Once on the Skylert communication screen, scroll to the bottom of the page and add a Text Message Number to be associated with your students. You should also select the types of communication you would like to receive via text. You may also additional contact options in the “Additional Contact Info” area.

Blue Bus Tags • • • All pre-K bus riders in Lamar CISD must be met at their bus stop by a parent, guardian or designated adult. The responsible person must also show a “Blue Card” with student information such as student name, address and campus, to pick up a pre -K student. Parents or guardians may pick up Blue Cards in the front office. Each parent/guardian will be allowed three Blue Cards to give to individuals designated to pick up their pre. K bus rider. If your child attends Kids r Kids in Bella Terra, THE DAYCARE WILL NEED A BLUE BUS CARD FOR YOUR CHILD TO BE DROPPED OFF.

Important Bus Information 1. Obey the instructions of the bus driver. At no time will a student act toward or address comments to the bus driver in a disrespectful manner or refuse to cooperate with the driver. 2. Board and leave the bus at designated stops only. 3. Only students who are eligible to ride may be transported. Students must live more than 1/2 mile from their home school. 4. Students must ride their assigned bus. 5. Do not ask to ride home on another bus with a friend without written permission from parent AND a bus pass issued by the school office. 6. It is the responsibility of the parents to provide transportation to school if a child misses the bus. Be at the bus stop at least 5 minutes early to ensure not missing the bus. 7. Due to normal and sometimes extraordinary situations, buses can run late. Do not leave the bus stop or call until 15 minutes past the posted arrival time.

The children will exit the car from the sight side of the car. Teachers and safety patrol will assist students. Be sure to stay in line close to the curb. All parents will need a green tag to show the name/grade of the child(ren) they will be picking up and grade level. REQUIRED: parents must have their car tag or they will have to park and come to the office to check child out. Safety matters All PM Pre-K students will be picked up at paw print #1, 2, 3 All parents must stay in the car when dropping off and picking up students. Teachers and safety patrol will assist students when getting in the car.
