Why was the PAT-P developed? ● Historical Service Delivery ○ Group/block therapy ○ Minimal Parent Involvement ○ Some carryover noted ○ Only option for mild-moderate articulation services via private therapy ● Introduction of pilot articulation remediation program for mandated service ● Parent Involvement ● Rapid remediation following introduction of pilot PAT-P ● Rollout to all schools, community agencies and private practitioners 2

What Happens Next? ● Following the screening and feedback, parents are provided with the

What Happens Next? ● Following the screening and feedback, parents are provided with the option of attending a PAT-P workshop in person, accessing an online video presentation of the PATP, or both. ● Electronic copies of the sound packages individualized to their child’s articulation errors are emailed to the parents by the referring SLP. Families who are not able to print the packages are given paper versions. Hard copies are also available at the workshop. 6

Hard to Serve Families ● Some parents are unable to attend the workshop for a variety of reasons so consequently, a video (DVD) presentation was developed. PAT-P Workshop ● Workshops are held centrally at the OCDSB Office, on several evenings throughout the school year ● Upon request, workshops can also be held at schools by region ● These interactive, fun and motivating workshops are one hour and fifteen minutes in length ● The target audience includes high school students, parents, grandparents, teachers, resource teachers, administrators, consultants, multi-cultural liaison officers and outside agencies. ● Parent Articulation Training Program Video 8
