Parent Advisory Group Mission: To facilitate communication among parents, school staff, the Board of Education, and the community regarding the district’s special education programs.
PAG representatives • Looking for a few parents to represent families of: • Different age levels • Schools • Parent representative should be able to attend meetings a few times a year • Parent representatives should be comfortable and accessible to talk with other families
ROLE of PAG • To provide direct input on the policies, programs and practices that impact services and support for students with disabilities. • To advise on the involvement of families of children with special needs. • To advise on issues about education, health and safety of students.
What happens at meetings? • Concerns related to the group of students are shared and discussed. • The Supervisor of Special Services will provide updates related to Special Services in Haddon Township and at the State and National levels. • Group members will have adequate time to discuss issues among themselves and plan the agenda for next meeting.
