What is a Paragraph? • A group of related sentences that focus on a main idea or thought. • Paragraphs break information into logical, meaningful sections.

Paragraph Punctuation • Indent each new paragraph. • One paragraph for each new idea or thought. When writing a paragraph, the first line of each paragraph is indented to signify to your readers that a new thought or idea is beginning.
