Panel 1. 5 scanning • Panel 1. 5 vs 2. 5, differences relevant to scanning: § No survey hole on base plate (outer ring) § No alignment dowel pin hole at inner ring bottom. • Procedures specific to 1. 5: § Hand adjust and align 1 st wire (wire 0) to X-ray scanner. § Use the average of the first 8 wires to calculate expected positions of other wires and straws. • 8 straws as a group, scan 10 positions along X on each half scan, with 4 overlapping X positions from each half (i. e. 16 X independent positions along the whole length). § In production will likely do 6 positions with 2 overlaps (i. e. 10 independent positions along the length) to save time. 12/04/17 Chiho Wang, Seog Oh 2
