What is P-EBT? • Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) created P- EBT to assist families who lost access to free or reduced-price school meals due to school closures in response to COVID-19 o P-EBT is an additional cash-like benefit for eligible food purchases to supplement family's grocery bills o Equivalent to a free breakfast, lunch, and snack ($6. 82/day) 7

Summer P-EBT Benefits • Who qualifies: o Students identified as eligible for free or reduced-price school meals and who were enrolled at a NSLP school during May 2021, are eligible for summer P-EBT regardless of school year learning modality o Determined free or reduced-price eligible in SY 2020 -21 or by August 27 th can qualify for Summer P-EBT • Summer benefits are tentatively scheduled for dissemination in October; one-time lump sum payment of $375 10
August Submission The data pipeline is open for submission! • Submission timeframe – August 9 th 2021 to August 27 th 2021 o No changes or updates? You may not need to submit! Complete this form to let us know! • This will be the ONLY opportunity to provide 2020 -21 student data that may have been missed or changed o Reporting students eligible as of June 30 th only o Reported students will be assessed for school year and summer benefits 11

P-EBT Support Center • P-EBT Support Call Center is open!! • Households can call 1 -800 -536 -5298, Monday – Friday 8 am – 7: 30 pm, Saturday 8 am – noon • Households can also email cdhs_pebtcolorado@state. co. us • Support Center will answer questions about P-EBT eligibility, benefits, and P-EBT card activation, issuance or replacements • Remind households to keep P-EBT card for future issuances! 14
P-EBT Support Center cont. • Students not identified as free and reduced-price meal eligible will be referred to the district to apply • Households can update mailing addresses directly with the support center • Dispute resolution/escalation process for: o Households indicating their learning modality differed from school/district o Households needing to change the parent/guardian contact o Instances where it appears a student was not included in the data submission • For school/district specific questions please contact pebt. datapipeline. support@cde. state. co. us 15
Dispute Resolutions/Escalatio ns • Disputes regarding Learning Modality: ü Support Center will create an escalation ticket for household ü Household is provided a formal Learning Modality Verification form to be completed by school/district ü Once signed and completed household returns to the Support Center ü Support center will validate all other indicators for eligibility 16
