WHO WAS PICASSO? • Pablo Ruiz Picasso was Spanish artist and painter • The Picasso real name was Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno María de los Remedios Cipriano de la Santísima Trinidad Clito Ruiz Picasso. • Picasso is considered the most important 20 th century artist. • He and Georges Braque invented Cubism.

PERSONAL LIFE • Picasso was born in Málaga (Spain) in 1881 and he dead (heart attack) in Mougins (France) in 1973, when he was 91 years old. • He attended the School of Fine Arts in Barcelona. • He painted his first work al the age of 8

PERSONAL LIFE • He was the first child of Don José Ruiz y Blasco and María Picasso. • Pablo's first words were "piz, piz", which is short for lápiz - Spanish for 'pencil‘ • When he was 7, his father (who was also a painter and art teacher) gave him art lessons. • Picasso was married twice. • He had four children

PERIODS´S ART WORKS • Blue Period: sad period, his paintings were blue, purple and black. • Rose Period: happier period, his paintings were pink, orange and red, brighter colours. He painted clowns and circuses. • African-influenced Period (Black Period): he was inspired in african works (masks) • Cubism: he used geometric shapes to represent the different forms of nature.
