Overarching Aim to address food poverty in Nottinghamshire by developing a working model that supports local food producers, builds collaboration between them and consumers and supports community food projects to reach low-income households.
Project Activities • Keeping up to date with strategies and policies, building relationships with decision-makers and representing local food projects. • Creating an online gateway to local food with a directory of local food • Developing a shared brand to promote local food, carrying outreach and community events in areas of high deprivation. • Supporting a network of community food projects to build collaboration and improve their impact • Identifying areas of food poverty and producing maps of local food projects • Engaging local food project volunteers and participants.
5 Project Outcomes 1. A new stand-alone website is designed to provide a directory of local food projects and producers, serving as a central information hub within the first 6 months of the project. 2. Local-level local food maps are created, widely distributed and promoted face-to-face in 2 County and 2 City neighbourhoods with the highest levels of multiple deprivation within the first 18 months of the project.
5 Project Outcomes 3. Community food projects attend quarterly network meetings for peer-to-peer support and tailor-made training, and receive on-call support to improve and sustain their project’s impact on food poverty. 4. A shared brand for Nottinghamshire food is designed and branding materials are distributed by the end of the project. www. food. groundworknottingham. org. uk 5.
