OUTSOURCED MOVIE Noura Saif Alkaabi H 00280715
Scene 1: At this scene, we can see that there are different way to follow the train and do not missed. In India, people normally can used the train at non-organized way and that is new thing to Todd, because he is not see like this in his country “US”. So, there is some of friendly traveler helps him get on the train (lsculturaldiversity). In addition, In high context culture “ India” people like to take and communicate with any body, while “US” people and there are low context culture, they have more knowledge about the public and non-communication too much with the other people. And I think the high and low context will help to make the different between the two culture more clear (culture-at-work).
Scene 2: In this scene, The Indian people like to speck and communicate with other and asking very intimate questions that the Americans people they never ask it(lsculturaldiversity). Aunti Ji, is come from high context culture and she start to ask Todd a lot of question that he will never be asked when he was in US. In High context like “ India” people like to join and ask to have high term of relationship reverse the low context country “US” people they did not like to talk about there special life with anybody, also they like to have a short term of relationship. For me, I think using the high and low context is good way to let the idea of different between the two culture be clear(culture-at-work).
Scene 3: These scene, Todd start eating by using his left hand in the same time Aunti Ji, Puro and fathere are shocked when they seen Todd using his left hand to eat and putting his hand inside the mouth and return to eat again(lsculturaldiversity). All thing that Todd do it, when he was eating were is crash with the culture rule of Indian people, where American people when they eat the using a left hand that is from there culture is not matter if which hand do you use for eating. On one hand, we can see the Indian people they like to follow all the traditional thing and applied in present of there life and mean Indian culture is classified as (Long Term Orientation) depending on Hofstede dimension. This dimension show that how every society have a links to maintain own in the past while they are using the same links to dealing with it in the present and future(geert-hofstede).
Scene 4: Mr. Todd at this scene, was very eager to go to eat at Mc. Donnell. The reason was that some of Indian people they are respect the cow so they do not eat cow meet ad do not use any thing from derivatives of cow's milk. So, reversing to Hofstede dimension (Long Term Orientation) we can see that the most Indian people are Hinduism and they are often considered a philosophy more than even a religion. So there amalgamation of ideas, views and esoteric beliefs. And I think this is a good dimension to show Indian people like to use there religions and there idea to practice in there daily life(geert-hofstede). However, the US people are classified as (Long Term Orientation) but they have different way to practice there religion beliefs and like only “viewing societal change with suspicion” because the have a low number in Long Term Orientation(geerthofstede).
Scene 5: This scene can show Mr. Todd and Puro when they are discussing about there family. Mr. Todd was talking about his family and how he visit them and why he doesn't live with them while in the same time Puro was shocked about Todd life because his cutler life in America was totally different from Indian life(lsculturaldiversity). So, Puro live with his family like any Indian people but Todd was lived alone from along time and that is from US culture and that is one of duty for any US people about living as a freedom person. However, the lower-context culture like US, They have a communication gaps between children and there parents(wikipedia). In the other hand, Indian people had low number on the (Individualism) because they prefer to have a mint aim links between there family(geert-hofstede), but the US people they had a high number of (Individualism) because they like to live a lone and have a gaps between there family(geert-hofstede). The Individualism is good dimension for showing how much the Individualism score for each country to show the different.
