Cloud use cases report Mol. Dyn. Grid aims to develop an effective virtual laboratory

Cloud use cases report Mol. Dyn. Grid aims to develop an effective virtual laboratory for conducting in silico calculations of molecular dynamics (MD) of biological macromolecules in water-ion environment in 100 ms timescale. • IISAS-Bratislava is supporting this application providing GPGPU resources IS-ENES 2 • Follow up of the ENES project. • Interested in AAI/interoperability with other infrastructures (e. g. : EGI, PRACE and GEANT). • One case studies proposed by the INDIGO-Data. Cloud project relates to the scientific community working with climate modeling. • Requirements: – Provisioning of efficient Big Data Analysis solutions; – Workflow Management systems (Ophidia) – Execution across multiple centers (IM/CLUES) 9/17/2021 5

Cloud use cases report (cont. ) Euro. Bio. Imaging – An ESFRI project aiming to create a network of medical-imaging core nodes to provide data management and large-scale analysis. • BIMCV is the core node. It hosts a population of 5 Million of people and 5. 3 Million of clinical cases. • BIMCV will receive requests from different projects. If these requests are approved the matching imaging studies will be made available to the researchers in a shared space, and additionally the researchers will have access to specific processing software. – EGI will provide resource to support Euro. Bio. Imagine service portal 9/17/2021 7
