WWII Comes to an End • WWII ends in Europe when Germany surrenders. • The United Nations was created after WWII. It replaced the League of Nations. It is an international organization to keep world peace and help developing nations. There is a military to enforce rules and only 2/3 have to agree.

Countries in Western Europe were democratic while countries in Eastern Europe were communist.
