Our Focus - Our Mission - Our Vision Laketown Student Focus - “Today as a learner, reader, and writer. . I will do great, awesome and amazing things! Our Mission - All students will learn to their full potential. Our Vision - At Laketown Elementary: students, teachers, parents, and community members will work together to support continuous improvement in student achievement by addressing the academic, social, emotional, and physical needs of our learners. March 7, 2018 We are working on chapter 12 in math. Chapter 12 is about the measurement of different lengths. I am still checking reading logs to see what books the students are reading at home. We are still reading fiction books here at school, and the students seem to enjoy them. We are now starting to write opinion pieces at school. At this point, that consists of writing letters to me and to the other second grade class about their favorite book character and why they like that character so much. The spelling list has been sent home, and our spelling test for this week will be on Friday. Laketown is ordering shirts that say “Choose Kind”. Purchase orders have been sent home and need to be returned with money (cash only) by Friday at 12: 00. As an additional note, the flu and cold season is upon us. The classroom is always in need of hand sanitizer and tissues to help us keep our students healthy.
