Our Focus - Our Mission - Our Vision Laketown Student Focus - “Today as a learner, reader, and writer. . I will do great, awesome and amazing things! Our Mission - All students will learn to their full potential. Our Vision - At Laketown Elementary: students, teachers, parents, and community members will work together to support continuous improvement in student achievement by addressing the academic, social, emotional, and physical needs of our learners. January 10, 2018 We are starting chapter 9 in math this week. This chapter works on understanding three-digit numbers and the place values that go along with those numbers. We will be working on this chapter throughout this week and next week. We are going to start sending home a reading log for students to complete while they are at home. The log has a space for the title of the book the student is reading, the minutes that they read it, and your signature or initials. It has the day of the week on it as well, so students will just fill out that day. There is space on the reading log for two weeks of reading, and I will be checking the logs occasionally to check on what the students have been reading at home. Those will be sent home today. Our spelling list was sent home yesterday, and the students will have a test on the words on Friday. This week’s list also includes the words for next week, if you happen to want to get a head start.
