Why I chose otters! • • • I chose otters because they are cute. I like how they sleep holding hands. I like the way they eat shell fish. I like how they swim. I think otters are the second cutest animal.

Having fun! • Otters are the most playful animal on the earth. • Sometimes otters take sticks and shells and rocks. • They like to slide in the snow. • They like to do barrel rolling in the water. • Otters can also learn to play basketball.
Adaptations! • Otters have two fur coats; the outer layer gets wet, and the bottom layer keeps them warm and dry. • They have a pouch in their stomach where they keep their favorite rock. When they get hungry and dive down to get shell fish, they use the rock as a tool to open clams • When mommy otters hunt they have to protect their young so they wrap them in sea weed.
