Introduction The difference between a job and a career is the difference between forty and sixty hours a week. ~Robert Frost I am interested in this career because my uncle is a orthodontists and I would love to be one. In order to get a better understanding of my career as a orthodontist , I will be researching the nature of the work, working conditions, training, qualifications, advancement, job outlook/employments, earnings, and a related occupation.

Nature of Work ~Remove decay from teeth and fill cavities ~Repair cracked or fractured teeth and remove teeth ~Straighten teeth to correct bite issues ~Place sealants or whitening agents on teeth

Working Conditions ~ indoor ~comfortable ~Some dentists own their own business ~work with a small staff ~Work in offices ~Wear masks gloves eye protection. etc

Training, Qualification, Advancement Most students need at least a bachelors degree to enter dental school High school students who want to become dentists should take courses in chemistry, physics, biology.

Job Outlook/Employment Growing by 16 percent 2012=7, 500 / 2022=8, 700 Work in a different state like Florida, and Colorado Probably start my own business
