Identify officials � There are two regular ways for managing a basketball game, this involves either two people or three-people depending on how many officers are available in the game. With the two person method, each official works either on the lead or the trail location. The lead spot is normally along the bottom of the court, with the trail location near the free throw line on the left side of the court facing the basket. Roles of other officials: � Time keeper: Ø keeping the time and stopping the game at certain points. � Scorer: Ø keeps track of the shots in the game
Responsibilities of officials � What are the officials responsible for? � officials are responsible for making the game run smoothly. They also carry a duty to take of care to the players that are playing, and to make sure that the court and all equipment used is in a safe condition. � They also have a role to keep up to date with the new laws of the game as some sports change rules quite often sometimes
