If the Measure Passes… The District will provide the following services in your area: • Continue and improve the control of mosquitoes and the diseases they carry. • Provide testing and early detection of existing and emerging diseases, such as West Nile virus, Chikungunya, Dengue and Yellow Fevers, Lyme disease, Encephalitis, Hantavirus, or plague. • Comprehensive response to any disease outbreaks from mosquitoes, rodents, and ticks. • Provide mosquito-eating fish to property owners for backyard ponds and water features. • Respond to service requests regarding ground nesting yellowjackets and rodent control issues. • Control mosquitoes and other disease carrying vectors using environmentally compatible approaches that focus on eliminating the breeding sources and locations.
