Original King Kong 1933 Remakes vs Original By William Buttayotee New King Kong 2005
Introduction • This is presentation to determine and to answer the questions such as “are there too many remakes? ”
What is the Question • The question is called “are there too many remake? ” • What is a remake? • A remake is generally used to adapt to the newer years as well as reference to a movie which uses an earlier and older movie as the main source material. • Either the remakes are meant to give improves to classic movies, update or make imitations of the original movies.
What are your thoughts • I could agree to some who say some remakes are lousy but I did see some parts of the remakes are rather impressive.
Research • Both the original and the remake has different effects due to different time. • For Example (Original 1981) Stop motion effect (Remake 2010) CGI and visual effects
What you Found • • • What I found are some of each movies have some numbers of remakes. Example. King Kong: 10 remakes Spider Man: 15 remakes Class of the Titans: 1 remake Journey to the Centre of the Earth: 5 remakes The Lost World: 4 remakes The Jungle Book: 8 remakes The Chronicles of Narnia: 2 remakes Beauty and the Beast: 9 remakes
Conclusion • My conclusion to this question is that there a lot of remakes, I don’t mind some of them but the others not quite satisfying for example the new It movie hasn’t show Pennywise’s true form nor the children destroying him in his true form. • In another example of any complaints of remakes that the Russian remake of the Jungle Book they made Bagheera black panther a girl, the same with Disney’s Jungle Book remake except they made Kaa the snake a girl. • So I think some original movie are better to be left alone.
What have you discovered? • What I’ve discovered in some remake that they are not very satisfying and of cause some remakes may have been expensive like 500 million pounds or dollar.
Have your thoughts changed? • No
What backs your arguments • Some say they might make a sequel of the remake that might lead to a satisfying ending. • for example they have announced that the sequel of the It remake is going to be released on the 6 th of September 2019.
