Traveling To The Stomach • Epiglottis and Esophagus The Epiglottis is at the top of the trachea as you can see, the Epiglottis blocks food from going in the Trachea when you are eating and instead, it makes it go into the Esophagus. There are muscles in the Esophagus, these muscles are use for pushing the food through the Esophagus, if you hang upside down, your food won’t go back to your mouth.
Processing • Liver and Gallbladder The Liver produces acid called Bile. The acid travels to the stomach to digest the food. The Gallbladder produces lots of fat digestion juice for the stomach to digest. It also stores up the bile when it is needed.
Traveling Pancreas and Stomach The pancreas produces digestive juices and help control blood sugar. If the pancreas does not work, the blood sugar level will get bigger and will have this disease called: Diabetes The stomach has acid in it, it digests the food that goes inside from the Esophagus.
