DIVERSITY PLANNING NEEDS FOR IMPROVEMENT • • • Diversification with older adults Similar to those for ethnicities and sexual orientation Opportunities to show the older population of employees care and concern for this populational need Actions regarding aging and health Development of brochures and resources to assist if getting information to enhance work and personal lifestyles. Ensure there is an advocacy liaison for assistance in enhancement and accommodations Ensure advocacy also includes support in potential issues of ageism. Liberty Mutual Insurance
PROPOSED TRAINING AND EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT PLAN • PROVIDE ACCESS to employees – Create documents that are diverse related and in different languages – Offer classes to learn different languages – Develop monthly celebrations to ensure employees are given an opportunity to develop a better understanding of different cultures throughout the organization. – Create a sheet for employee feedback to rate the training and collect feedback on the effectiveness of the training. • Hold team members ACCOUNTABLE – Make training a part of all new employees’ orientation as an ongoing training for current employees continue. – A spreadsheet will be created to keep track and ensure all employees have participated in one event or another Liberty Mutual Insurance
