• How do we compare fractions? • 1) Use the LCM of the denominators to find a common denominator. • 2) Make all fractions have the common denominator by multiplying the numerator AND denominator by the same number. • 3) Compare numerators.

Direct Station • We will do problems that require us to order both positive and negative numbers.
Collaborative Station • For each round, you and your partner will have a different fraction. • Compare your fractions and find the LCM. • Each partner converts their fraction into its equivalent form with the new denominator. • Both partners then write down the comparison (>, <, or =) on their paper.
