Optional Task this week: Step 1: Watch the You. Tube clip on Nelson Mandela (https: //www. youtube. com/watch? v=Uqo. Ymx_L-Xs). Step 2: While listening to the video, take LOTS of notes on a separate sheet of paper. Record the most interesting things you learned about Nelson Mandela. You should have about 15 notes. The more notes you take, the easier the next activity will be. Step 3: Once you complete the video, complete the Venn Diagram on slide 2. NOTE: To complete the Venn Diagram you will need to reflect back on what you remember about our conversation about Mahatma Gandhi from before Spring Break. If you have your notes from our in-class discussions you may use those too. If not, check out this short review video to help you (https: //www. youtube. com/watch? v=IRTLDFrf. GK 8). Our goal is to help you make connections between these two very important world history figures. THIS IS NOT GRADED … SO DO YOUR BEST! Step 4: Lastly, complete the writing prompts on Slide 3. How do I turn this in? When you finish this assignment, you can snap a photo and email it directly to your teacher. Feel free to record your work time on your social studies log too.
Activity: Compare: Mahatma Gandhi (of India) to Nelson Mandela (of South Africa). Similarities? Differences? Complete the following Venn diagram and answer the question on slide 3. Try for at least 10 Similarities and at least 10 Differences – JUST DO YOUR BEST, since this is not graded
