Opening Paragraph 1. ) Hook – Begin with an interesting “hook” that will engage your audience – Attention-grabbing fact – “Imagine this…. ” scenario – Anecdote (story) – Ask a question – This should lead into your topic – A great hook can be referenced again in the closing paragraph and acts as a natural conclusion!

Are these children skipping school to play videogames, or to go shopping at the mall? The truth is not so pleasant. Many children are not given their human right to education due to gender, poverty, displacement, nomadism, or ethnicity.

They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act toward one another in a spirit of brotherhood. ” This idea is powerful, and one that should not be considered lightly- especially when it comes to children. Children are easily overlooked in the battle for human rights. Across the globe, children fight everyday just to go to school, fight for a right to education that is often take for granted.

If you have, you probably aren’t alone- but today, I want you to think about the millions of children who want to go to school but are not allowed to. According to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Article 26, going to school is a right for all children of the world. Unfortunately, in some countries, like Pakistan, children do not receive an education due to poverty and gender.
