Their year coordinator will lead them develop student understanding and skills in key platforms and the schools core values to develop Dynamic, Accountable, Resilient and Engaged learners

Curriculum - Years 7 / 8 Core subjects - Maths, English, Science, Human Society and its Environment (HSIE), Personal Development, Health & Physical Education (PDHPE) Additional subjects - Technology, Visual Arts, Sport, Discovery , SHIFT Year 7 - Language – Mandarin or Japanese Year 8 - Music

Curriculum - Years 7 / 8 Project Based Learning (PBL) 6 D’s - Define - Dream - Discover - Design - Deliver - Debrief

Year 7 and 8 Class structure - 7 D and 8 D are enrichment classes Entry is based on HAST, teacher referrals, internal and external data and reviewed at the end of each Semester - All other classes 7 A, 7 R, 7 E, 7 T, 7 O are mixed ability classes - Since 2017 we have grouped students with greater experiences in mandarin in one year 7 class

Curriculum - Stage 6 Compacted curriculum - In Year 1. 1 students complete preliminary and HSC course for three subjects - In Year 1. 2 students complete preliminary and HSC course for three subjects


Curriculum - Stage 6 - Introduced in 2012 - Focused study on three subjects only - Three assessment tasks at any time and three exams during HSC period (excluding English) - Classes formed with Year 1. 1 and 1. 2 together provides opportunity for peer mentor by Year 1. 2 students - Broader choice of subjects we can offer
