The Lord wants to release a season of “prophetic giving” in the Abbey!

II Corinthians 8: 7 But since you excel in everything--in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you--see that you also excel in this grace of giving. X-factor: EXCEL = “go beyond expected measure”; “super-abound” in both quality and quantity! GRACE = God freely extending Himself to people— even leaning towards them—for the purpose of sharing His resources!

It’s a way of living open to God’s thoughts in every situation! (Take a walk on the beach of His wisdom and experience the goodness…)

To be clear (about the prophetic operating in the church): 1. Prophetic statements don’t just “foretell”; they also “forth-tell”. 2. Prophecy in the church is NOT telling someone what they “should” do. 3. The spirits of prophets are subject to prophets. (I Corinthians 14: 32) 4. There are those who “are” prophetic, but everyone can flow in it. (We are a prophetic people!) 5. PROPHETIC EXPRESSIONS ARE NOT LIMITED TO WORDS!

I Thessalonians 5: 20, in a few translations: Despise not prophesyings. Do not scoff at prophecies. Do not despise inspired messages. Greek: prophéteia – communicate revealed truth; make clear in the moment what has been revealed but not yet announced; cause to shine before someone’s eyes; Literally, “set forth so as to produce an epiphany”!

Colossians 2: 2 -3 …so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Hidden: apokrupto – root word of cryptography – written to be decoded! “Stored-up” to be later found! (Like “treasure”!) Treasures: thesauros – storehouse for precious things; receptacle for valuables

Prophetic word to Tab: “A prophetic edge will be a part of everything you do. ” (2006, Wayne Drain) (“Everything you do will be laced with the prophetic. ”) “TAB” IS THE ABBEY TODAY!!!!

GOD’S LOVE IS “INFORMATION-RICH”! PROPHETIC: WHEN PRESENCE MANIFESTS AS “INFORMATION” BEYOND WHAT THE CARNAL EYE CAN SEE! I Corinthians 2: 15 The spiritual person, however, can evaluate everything, and yet he himself cannot be evaluated by anyone.

OLD TESTAMENT EXAMPLE OF PROPHETIC GIVING: Exodus 30: 18 Make a bronze basin, with its bronze stand, for washing. Place it between the tent of meeting and the altar, and put water in it. (Verses 19 and 20 tell us Aaron and his sons, the priests are to wash their hands and feet in it before they approach the altar “so they will not die”!)

Exodus 38: 8 They made the bronze basin and its bronze stand from the mirrors of the women who served at the entrance to the tent of meeting.

MULTIPLE SIGNALS ON THIS CARRIER WAVE OF GIVING: 1. Creative resourcing is possible! 2. These mirrors came from the plunder of Egypt! 3. Inclusiveness prophesied! (Sons AND daughters will prophesy! Acts 2: 17, quoting Joel 2: 28) 4. Trade in your identity for a new, washed one—a new reflection! 5. There’s a NEW COVENANT coming that will affect your deepest notions of who you are!
