BENEFITS & EVIDENCE Benefit Evidence Greater understanding of funding bodies’ policies leading to compliance and decreased risk for researchers and the University > 1) Repeat shortened version of DAF survey & interviews - compare responses to identical questions; note changes in attitude 2) monitor deposits to the repository 3) monitor number and content of queries. Share findings as written report. Improved RDM skills in researchers & PGRs leads to good practice and decreased risk > Improved knowledge in support staff contributes to sustainable services > 1) Track numbers attending training events (including subject areas in order to identify gaps) 2) gather and analyse feedback on training 3) repeat DAF survey & interviews for researchers 4) monitor number and content of queries 5) carry out survey of support staff. Share findings in series of blogs and final report. Institutional RDM & OA policy is applied effectively at research group level > 1) Work with research groups to develop & adapt group policies 2) interview group members to get feedback on impact of the policy on RDM practice: i) six months after policy launch ii) twelve months after policy launch. Report to community as case studies. Improved quality of DMPs resulting in more funding and fewer returned bids. > 1) Monitor number of successful bids - use figures from previous years to identify any changes in funding patterns that could be attributed to better DMPs 2) monitor number of bids that are returned for amendment due to weak DMPs 3) monitor number and nature of queries 4) collect and analyse feedback. Disseminate findings in report. Greater visibility and reuse of Exeter research data through culture of data sharing > 1) Analytics: number of visits; number of downloads 2) citation tracking 3) tracking social media references. Publish regular stats on repository web pages.
