This gave rise to the open access movement. We have come across n number of such intiatives abroad and also in this country. Open access ventures in the form of Institutional Repositories, Digital Libraries, Open archives, etc. are creeping up in India gradually. In this juncture my paper intends to “Open Access Journals in Library and Information Science”
