Harbor Brook Intercepting Sewer Replacement Project – ACJ Milestone Date 12/31/2013 • Replaces a significant portion of infrastructure that was originally installed in the early 1900’s. • 7500 feet of interceptor sewer replacement, 5200 feet of local sewer replacement and 1860 feet of sewer rehabilitation. • Project green infrastructure elements included tree basins, rain gardens and bio-retention basins. • Estimated annual CSO capture is 0. 9% or 36 million gallons. • Included separation of CSO 013 (Seymour Street) and CSO 016 (Lydell Street) 3
CSO 044 Conveyance Project-ACJ Milestone Date 12/31/2011 • 500 foot long 96 -inch diameter conveyance pipe line. • Conveyance will capture the full 1 year 2 hour storm volume from CSO 044. • Project incorporated storm water capture for pipe line flushing. • Final restoration included rain gardens. • Estimated annual CSO capture is 0. 3% or 12 million gallons. 4
CSO 022/045 Sewer Separation Project • Combined project into one construction contract to minimize administration costs. • CSO 022 – Fayette Street and West Genesee Street near Dinosaur BBQ. (Clinton Lower Main Intercepting Sewer CSO Area) • CSO 045 – Hudson Street and Crescent Street. (Midland CSO Area) 5
Clinton CSO Storage Facility – ACJ Milestone 12/31/2013 • 6. 5 million gallon storage capacity - volume of storage was increased by 40%. • Facility will employ green and innovative technologies to reduce operating costs. • Very challenging construction ▫ Limited site space ▫ High chloride concentration in groundwater 6
