HOW A DIGITAL LEADER SHOULD BEHAVE • A digital leader should be organised , confident and kind. • They need to act like a digital leader and be kind to others. • A digital leader needs to think of characteristics for being a digital leader. • A digital leader needs to be confident to speak infront of other people and to share their ideas. • A digital leader should be approachable so people can come to us for help.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT ONLINE SAFETY • Always tell an adult if you are being bullied online or a teacher. • Being a digital leader is about helping people and taking responsibility. • If someone is being unkind to you online and they have done it several times on purpose then that is cyber bullying. • If you are being bullied online you don’t have to tell a teacher first you can tell us Digital leaders and then we can pass it on to the teachers on a Friday.

WHAT IS CYBERBULLYING. • Cyberbullying is when your being bullied online. • It happens

WHAT IS CYBERBULLYING. • Cyberbullying is when your being bullied online. • It happens several times and is done on purpose to upset others. • Cyberbullying is not very nice and that is why we don’t do it. • You will get found out if you are bullying online and you will get into trouble. • It can be: • Mean, rude or unkind actions online: • By text or messaging app • In a game or through a game headset • Comments posted on a picture or video • Posting photos/videos without permission to embarrass the victim

Report the cyberbully – lots of sites, apps and games have report buttons. Report the bully and the website’s safety team will review what they have done. They might have their account deleted. Block the cyberbully – lots of sites, apps and games have block buttons. This stops the bully from talking to you. Tell someone – always tell a parent or teacher what is happening sooner rather than later. They can help to make the situation better.

You can talk to us about any online issues, not just cyberbullying. We will offer you some advice and talk to Miss Jolly to see how we can help you. • You can talk to us anytime you can just come and find us or you can come to Miss Jolly in reception.
