Student Work Overview ▪ You will be participating in a performance that will be counted as your final grade for the course. You will be performing a student play called “Selfie, ” which is the story of 8 high school students told in vignettes. This will involve collaboration with other students. ▪ You will be creating your own student monologues that will be performed at the end of the year. ▪ You will be watching two musicals and engaging in dialogue and dissection of the shows. Selfie • Individual Work • Group Work Monologue • Write and perform • Provide Feedback Musicals • Character, setting, plot work • Personal Response

Fridays are Performance Days! Every Friday you will be performing. That may be an individual assignment, a live group performance, or some other form of a recorded performance. Please remember: • The purpose of performing is so I can assess your progress and provide feedback on how we can grow and improve as actors. • We are here to be supportive of one another. There should not be any negative comments made about someone else’s performance. • It is brave to share your theatrical gifts with others, and practicing doing that is part of the class.
