On This Day 05 November 1605 The “Gunpowder Plot” attempted by Guy Fawkes failed when he was captured before he could blow up the English Parliament. Guy Fawkes Day is celebrated every November 5 th in Britain to celebrate his failure to blow up all the members of Parliament and King James I. 05 November 1895 George B. Selden received the first U. S patent for gasoline-driven automobile. He sold the rights for $200, 000 four years later. 05 November 1935 “Monopoly” the board game was introduced by Parker Brothers Company. 05 November 1992 Bobby Fisher defeats Boris Spassky to win Chess title in the “Revenge Match of the 20 th Century”.

Eco Club Good morning everyone, last Friday some P 5 volunteers went out at Golden Time to help Mr Mac. Kinnon pick up rubbish on the cycle path. The weather doesn’t help us with keeping our playground tidy but we need to help. LAW duty will start again this week with 6 M. The Eco Club have a meeting this Friday at 12 pm. Thank you for listening.
Water Bottles Reminders All children are reminded to take their re-usable water bottles to school. This is to reduce the number of children using plastic cups instead. Playground Arrangements From 8. 45 am – 9 am, if children would like to play ball games/football etc, could P 1 -3 pupils use the ball court, and P 4 -7 pupils use the All Weather Pitch.

Well Done to… Well done to Ruby who completed her length at the swimming pool.
Well done to… Well done to Kalise who took part in a Horse Jumping Show and won some medals! Kalise told us that theme of the show was Halloween.
Well done to… Well done to Robbie, Iestyn, Finlay, Murray and Kieran who took part in a Rugby Competition at St Andrew’s School. Finlay was awarded Coaches Player, and Millar was awarded Player’s Player.
