• We Remember and Celebrate the Lives of Six ADK Sisters: • Helen Cox, Ontario Epsilon Chapter; Kathryn Marsland Francis Winslow Ontario Nu Chapter; Jess Bond, Ontario Lambda Chapter; Elizabeth Newton and Durelle Harford Mc. Allister, Ontario Zeta Chapter who played a tremendous role in reaching out with passion to Attract, Develop and Kindle ADK. They were a blessing to our chapters. They were active members serving in many capacities demonstrating leadership qualities, organizational skills, and personal attributes of warmth, friendliness and acceptance. Each of them, as sisters, has touched each of us in a special way and the bonds of sisterhood are strong and deep. • Each of us holds memories of them and how they made us laugh and enjoy our sisterhood together. We cherish their contributions to ADK and treasure their memories. Let us remember these sisters and how they reached out to everyone with passion and kindled the values of ADK. They helped their chapters continue to attract attention to others in their community through their altruistic projects, they kindled friendships and brought new members into their chapters and developed ways for to stay connected with sisters throughout the world. Let us go forth joyously in honour and remembrance of our ADK Omega sisters.

When Special People Touch Our Lives written by Amanda Blake When special people touch our lives, then suddenly we see how beautiful and wonderful our world can really be. They show us that our special hopes and dreams can take us far by helping us look inward and believe in who we are. They bless us with their love and joy Through everything they give…. When special people touch our lives They teach us how to live.

In a Bulb There is a Flower In a bulb there is a flower, in the seed, an apple tree; in cocoons, a hidden promise: butterflies will soon be free! In the cold and snow of winter There’s a spring that waits to be, unrevealed until its season, something God alone can see. There’s a song in every silence seeking word and melody, there’s a dawn in every darkness, bringing hope to you and me. From the past will come the future, what it holds for, a mystery, unrevealed until its season, God alone can see. In our end is our beginning, in our time, infinity; in our doubt there is a believing, in our life, eternity. in our death, a resurrection, at last, a victory, unrevealed until its season, something God alone can see

“We Remember Them” In the name of the sun and it’s going down, We Remember Them. In the blowing of the wind and in the chill of winter, We Remember Them. In the opening of the buds and rebirth of spring, We Remember Them. In the blueness of the skies and in the warmth of summer, We Remember Them. In the rustle of the leaves and in the beauty of autumn, We Remember Them. In the beginning of the year and when it ends, We Remember them. As long as we live, they too shall live, for they are now a part of us. We Remember Them. When we are weary and in need of strength, We Remember Them. When we are lost and sick at heart, We Remember them. When we have joys we yearn to share, We Remember Them. When we have decisions that are difficult to make We Remember Them. When we have achievements that are based on theirs, We Remember them. As Long as we live, they too shall live, for they are part of us. Jewish Book of Prayer
ELIZABETH NEWTON ONTARIO ZETA
Guide Me Oh Thou Great Jehovah 1. Guide me, O thou great Jehovah, pilgrim through this barren land. I am weak, but thou are mighty, hold me with thy powerful hand. Bread of heaven, bread of heaven, feed me till I want no more, feed me till I want I more. 2. Open now the crystal fountain, whence the healing stream doth flow, let the fire and cloudy pillar lead me all my journey through. Strong deliverer, strong deliverer, be thou still my strength and shield. 3. When I tread the verge of Jordan, bid my anxious fears subside, death of death and hell’s destruction, land me safe on Canaan’s side. Songs of praises, songs of praises, I will ever give to thee
DURELLE HARFORD-Mc. ALLISTER ONTARIO ZETA
Make Me a Channel of Your Peace Make me a channel of Your peace; Where there is hatred, let me bring Your love; Where there is injury, Your pardon, Lord, And where there’s doubt, true faith in You. CHORUS: O Master, grant that I may never seek So much to be consoled as to console, To be understood as to understand, To be loved as to love with all my soul. Make me a channel of Your peace; Where there’s despair in life, let me bring hope; Where there is darkness, only light, And where there’s sadness, ever joy. CHORUS Make me a channel of Your peace; It is in pardoning that we are pardoned, In giving of ourselves that we receive, And in dying that we’re born to eternal life. CHORUS
Benediction: “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, People will forget what you did But people will never forget how you made them feel. ” (Maya Angelou) “May happiness fill your heart each day and bless your whole life through. ” AMEN “May a Rainbow Run Beside You” The words are from traditional Irish blessings. Music by Mark Burrows. We will continue to reach out to others in ADK with passion like our deceased sisters let us continue to attract, develop and kindle the values of ADK.
