The Torch Relay It is a symbol of peace and friendship. It is lit in Olympia and it will arrive in London on May 18 th. The relay will start in Cornwall on 19 th May. It will get to the Olympic Stadium on the 27 th July for the opening ceremony.

Horse Guards Parade • Beach Volley • A temporary arena will be built with sand brought in to create London’s very own 'beach’. • Tournaments were held at the site in the time of Henry VIII • Horse Guards Parade lies at the heart of Whitehall, the political centre of the UK.
