Merrits: As Chairman of the Board of Iran Weighing and Measurement Systems Trade Association he is concerned with matters of legal metrology and contributed to the new standard for weighbridges. He invested more than two million US dollars for the development and manufacturing of a fleet of Test Weight Carts for calibration of weighbridges with about 35% of their maximum load, much more than 3 to 5 tons used in former times.
