FAQs If I am using work experience in place of training, do I still have to take the exam and the E-Based Academy courses? Yes. What if I can’t prove my work experience? Then you must complete the 40 hour training. Can I re-use a BCI report I had done for another purpose? Yes, if you have the results sent to TPC and the report is less than 30 days old. How much is a BCI check? Prices vary, on average around $35. If you also need an FBI check, the total will be higher. Reimbursement might be available through the CFPT program if you are currently unemployed. What if I fail the exam? Contact Ohio. MHAS to arrange to re-take the exam in person.

FAQs I’m having problems with E-Based Academy. Can you help me? No, you must contact the E-Based Academy help desk. Information is available on the site. Neither TPC nor Ohio. MHAS can assist you. How long is the certification good for? 2 years. How do I get it renewed? You must obtain 30 CEUs before the expiration date on your certification and fill out the required paperwork. Only CEUs obtained after your certification was issued count towards re-certification. How long does the certification process take? It varies. Once your completed paperwork is received by TPC, it is on average, around 2 months. Can the process be expedited? No, the process cannot be expedited.
