Comprehensive Review/ Strategic Readiness Review • In the wake of several significant maritime mishaps

Comprehensive Review/ Strategic Readiness Review • In the wake of several significant maritime mishaps in 2017, the Navy chartered a Comprehensive Review (CR) and Strategic Readiness Review (SRR) designed to complete a holistic assessment of systemic causes of the recent mishaps • To address the outcomes of the CR and SRR the Navy Readiness Reform Construct was formed which includes three levels of oversight tasked to implement noted outcomes • A total of 111 recommendations were generated based on the CR, SRR and other reports (IG and GAO) • Seven Functional Working Groups have been developed to implement corrective actions • Command & Control/Operations/Manning/Training/Budgetary & Fiscal/Governance/Learning Culture & Industry Best Practices Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Safety) 7
