HAZCOM STANDARD FEDERAL AND STATE LAW You have a right to know about the hazards in your workplace • Applies to all District employees who may be exposed to hazardous substances. • OEHS evaluates and approves all chemical products to be used in the District. • You can obtain material safety data sheets (MSDS) on-line from OEHS website. • Don’t bring household cleaning materials to schools. • Request hazardous waste disposal from OEHS. Asbestos and Lead • General Rule: Do not disturb any painted surfaces or any building material in the schools unless you are trained to do so. It could be lead or asbestos containing material.
